Rest in Peace, Fr. Wheeler
The Class of '66 joins all of the students, faculty and staff of Catholic Central who mourn the loss of Fr. John Wheeler, CSB '57.
Fr. Wheeler, back in the day known to us as "Mister" Weeler, was ordained two years after we graduated on December 14, 1968. His long and impactful ministry at Catholic Central spanned four major assignments: 1962–1965, 1972–76, 1977–89, and 1999–2009. During his time at CC, he served as head of the French Department, leader of the French exchange program, and co-founder of CC's award winning Ski and Soccer teams. Fr. Wheeler also was the celebrant for our Mass of Remembrance at our 50th reunion
